What is Helicobacter Pylori ?

Helicobacter Pylori (H. pylori) is a type of bacteria that affects the stomach and the duodenum and causes ulcers. These germs can enter your body and live in your digestive tract. For some people the infection can lead to stomach cancer

Symptoms of Having H.Pylori Infection

  • Burning pain in the abdomen
  • Pain in the Stomach due to long intervals between meals
  • Vomiting feeling
  • Not feeling like eating
  • Stomach
  • Frequent burping
  • Bloating

Causes

A person can get H.Pylori or the imbalance in the H. Pylori population can be

  • Through contact of saliva or other bodily fluids
  • Contaminated food or water
  • Too much outside food
  • Alcohol consumption

But even after the above conditions 50-75 % of the world’s population already has H.pylori bacteria, it doesn’t cause illness.

Infact do you know that their are 39 trillion microbial cells incuding bacteria, viruses and fungi that live on and in us!

This is because our human body is a microbiome, these various microbes help the human body to keep healthy.

For example H.Pylori too helps in controling GERD and with Asthma. So basically it is all about keeping a healthy balance in our gut, with the help of Yoga and healthy eating.

Yogic Point of View

We will be discussing what Yogic practices and natural remedies can help with the above

According to Yoga and Ayurveda, acclumulation of toxins ( ama ) in the body decreases the immunity and hence bacterial infections increase.

Stress can also cause gastric problems and weakening of immunity thus leading to the above problems. So mindfulness practices and pranayams can help

I have also made Youtube videos on this topic, you can watch the videos below
